my canine friend.

Image
so, here i am. sitting on my couch at 2 a.m... i think. For the last few hours, i've been trying to wrap my head around my dance schedule (as of fundraisers and ad selling and such, but that's a story for another day! *or night* lol) . Then finally, i was browsing my phone storage and encountered a few photos i took while cleaning my bedroom last week. unfortunately, there are only a few photos, and they were taken with my crappy phone camera... but i did edit them. Could you share some input maybe in the comments on what you may or may not like about the editing? Or maybe something i could do better? Yes, i sound desperate, but i love reading comments from my friends. now, let me introduce you to my canine pal . - - - - - - - - - - - *round of applause* there! i did it! just a brief post for you guys to enjoy, and for you to know i'm keeping my promise that i'll post regularly .  now that my boredom is finally cured, i shou...

strawberry & spinach smoothie.

Image
yes, you may look away from the title because it sounds bland, but hear me out. The strawberries and spinach, plus the banana, create a perfectly sweet and filling meal! Well... maybe half of one. even if it's not too appealing to the eyes, this is perfect to sip on after a workout, or when you're looking for a quick blend to fill you up enough for 2 to 3 hours. Anyway, let's get straight into the recipe. Ingredients 1 cup of water 1/4 cup of yogurt (i used grass-fed yogurt, but you could use Greek yogurt, or any type of unflavored yogurt) 1/2 of a banana 1/2 cup of strawberries (mine was frozen and thawed, but it's better if you use fresh) 1 cup of baby spinach  Optional - any kind of sweetener (stevia, honey, etc.) Directions Simply take your blender (I had a Magic Bullet), and place all of your ingredients into it. Next, blend. Enjoy!! Nutrition Facts Calories - 153 Fat - 2.7 g Sodium - 60 mg Carbohydrates - 22 g Di...

top 5 fitness quotes to keep you motivated.

as we all have probably experienced, life can be pretty hectic. i mean, c'mon, everyone has to admit they've had a goal they've wanted to reach, but sometimes, life catches up to us. a main goal for some people, is exercise . * warning .* i go into a 'medical commercial' type of state for the next paragraph. you have been warned. if you've experienced, 'i'll begin exercising tomorrow,' or 'i'll just eat one brownie today (actually turns out to be the whole pan),' you've unfortunately turned into moi. okay, okay! just kidding. i'll be serious now. if you tell yourself these types of things, or something similar, you may end up regretting your decision in the future. i speak from experience. when i procrastinate, i tend to get depressed, leading into overeating, and therefore lowering my enthusiasm in school, dance, and basically anything i'd normally be jumping head-first into. this short list of quotes keeps ...

oh my. Time has really passed, right? I'm officially in high school, juggle two-ish jobs, and now compete in dance. But, that's a story for another time. Anyhoozle, nearly two months ago, (the final week of August, to be exact), my family had our first vacation in... well, forever, honestly. It is no secret, since the title says it. You know, let's just leap into the photography. Outside of Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront. this is where we stayed. Willis Tower & Skydeck Chicago. the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower. Over 1,300 feet in the air. Shedd Aquarium. ps : i saw my biggest fear... aka, an octopus, at the aquarium. you know that "heart-drop" feeling you get when you're falling, extremely scared, or when you see you're crush? yep. that was me. if you want to see a picture of the octopus, just message me, and i'll send it to you. pps : these stingrays made my day. literally. i fell in love with them. t...
