chicago, il part 1.

oh my. Time has really passed, right? I'm officially in high school, juggle two-ish jobs, and now compete in dance. But, that's a story for another time.
Anyhoozle, nearly two months ago, (the final week of August, to be exact), my family had our first vacation in... well, forever, honestly. It is no secret, since the title says it. You know, let's just leap into the photography.

Outside of Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront.
this is where we stayed.

Willis Tower & Skydeck Chicago.
the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower. Over 1,300 feet in the air.

Shedd Aquarium.

ps : i saw my biggest fear... aka, an octopus, at the aquarium. you know that "heart-drop" feeling you get when you're falling, extremely scared, or when you see you're crush? yep. that was me. if you want to see a picture of the octopus, just message me, and i'll send it to you.

pps : these stingrays made my day. literally. i fell in love with them. they were so sweet while we pet them, and just cute. (now i sound like a psychopath... oops).

Joffrey Ballet & the PrivateBank Theatre, playing Hamilton the Musical.
if you know me, Hamilton is by far, my favorite musical of all time. Hamilton played about three times while we were in Chicago, but unfortunately, i didn't get to see it. instead, i took this photo while taking our bus tour around Chicago. fun fact - we took the tour bus twice; once per day.

Shoreline Sightseeing Architecture River Tour.
this tour took us down the Chicago River, and showed us most of the amazing architectural beauties of the city.

The Trump Tower.
i don't care about opinions, but i loved the architecture of this building. you cannot see it, but around the bottom that was near the river, there were wave-like walls built outside the lower story of the skyscraper. another fun fact - our hotel is to the left, not seen in the camera.

though night is quite dangerous in the streets of Chicago, the clash between the lights and the night sky was stunning.

This post is already quite long, so I'll stop there. There will be a part deux to this, so stay tuned

If you can, please send me some input on the photography. If you know any tips or have any advice, don't hesitate! I want to get better at photography, so comment to me some ideas.

Also, have any of you had any neat trips you wish to share? I'd love to hear.

Au revoir!
Josephine.

i know!! visiting Chicago gave me LOADS of inspiration for photography, but it really sucks that Shawano//Wisconsin in general doesn't have the beautiful skyscrapers and such, ya know?

It's really sad, isn't it?? I find it really hard to take cool photos on a day-to-day basis cuz where I live......borrrinnngg. I mean, you can only take so many photos of nature, amiright?? :P So, yes. Heading off to NYC for sure ;) ;)
