how to deal with your younger self

I don't know if you have experienced this, but I have. You know, when you go through the archives of your life, and then you somehow pass through your old journals, art masterpieces, and "books." ( I say "books" with quotations because the stories I wrote should not have been books. ) The kind of stuff that makes you scream on the inside. There is no way around it... It's officially a part of history. ( Well, at least YOU will remember it. Hopefully other people won't. ) But there will be NO more suffering over your younger self, for I have the solution to comfort yourself when reading/"admiring" your old masterpieces.

- Remember, I was in 3rd grade! There is no way I could spell "suits" right. Oh wait... That is a little embarrassing. ;)

- Think about it. For a 6 year old, this art piece was pretty good!

Sure Josephine... Very intriguing stuff.

- A diary is something to write in. You can write whatever you want, at any time.

Just remember, if you are looking at an old drawing you drew, just remember that for your age then, it is pretty good. Also, I didn't show my worst drawings. I picked the better ones for the post. ;)

If you're reading an old story you wrote, remember that you probably thought it was the best idea ever when you first wrote it. Give yourself some credit! Maybe it wasn't all that bad.

Finally, understand that your diary is something you write your thoughts in. It can be as weird, nice, or as embarrassing as you are feeling. So, even though your diary may be very awkward to read, just remember that it's okay to laugh at yourself. I do it all of the time!

So this blog post was very random, and I might be looking at myself in the future and laughing at myself for this, but hey, like I said, it's okay to laugh at yourself. ;) Talk to you some other time!

Lots of Love ( LOL ),
Josephine Frances

  1. I told you that I'd read it! Btw - I laugh at myself all the time no matter if its my younger self or what. Have a good day Josephine!
